After four years of operation as a pilot program, the Arts Stabilization Toolbox Award has become an ongoing program of the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund. In making the transition the Arts Fund commissioned a study to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and to make recommendations for improvements. The Arts Fund board decided to both keep the program and implement several changes to how the program operates. Those changes are as follows:
- Instead of one deadline per year, applications will now be accepted and evaluated three times a year.
- Toolbox applicants are now only required to have been in operation for two years after receipt of 501(c)(3) status.
- Toolbox applications are now only accepted by email
