The Arts Fund responds to proposals that are based on a serious self-assessment, requests which recognize the importance of institutional planning and financial management for artistic and operational objectives, and proposals that illustrate a commitment to the long haul.

Successful applications to the Arts Fund will be reflective of active and committed policy-making board members, administrators, artists and volunteers. In short: arts organizations self-confident about who they are, what they do, and have a clear vision of where they need to go.
To be eligible for grants through the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, organizations must:
  • Demonstrate a base of support within their communities.
  • Actively embrace a philosophy of inclusiveness.

The Grant Process:
  1. Preliminary application deadline (mid January)

  3. Review of applications and site visits (March & April)
  4. Public announcement of recipients (May, at the Arts Fund Luncheon)

The Arts Fund reviews applications for its stabilization grants on an annual basis. The stabilization grant program provides substantial financial grants for stabilization projects and programs. The Arts Fund does not support arts programming, special projects, or existing operating expenses. Please read the additional requirements in the application and guidelines.

An EXTRA Wish:

Applicants to the Arts Fund stabilization grant program may also apply for An EXTRA Wish. An EXTRA Wish is a program of The Community Foundation, and it allows for Arts Fund grant applicants to add-on a request for a special need that cannot be met with current financial resources. Please read the guidelines carefully for further information, and note that An EXTRA Wish request is optional, but it may only be submitted with an Arts Fund grant application, not by itself.
